Vetrò is a project born from an idea of Francesca Tanese and Roberto Abbatepaolo, two young designers with a multi-year experience in working with glass, with the intention of creating a line of jewelry which is unique in its kind, jewels obtained from the fusion of two diverse tendencies. On one hand, a spirit that tends to preserve thousands of years of history and tradition and on the other hand, a strong innovative thrust creating a style in line with the times and with an original design, but so essential to result “timeless”, a true expression of the Italian design culture, a perfect synthesis of tradition and modernity.
The creative procedure consists in sculpting sheets of glass, reducing them to small pieces to which the desired shape is given through a technique of hammering the glass and then these shards of glass will then be assembled with precious metals and fused together in kilns at a very high temperature through the technique of glass fusing.
From the union of these two ancient techniques, we have the collection of Guiro jewelry that pays homage to the beauty of Polignano a Mare, to its intense and brilliant colours, characteristics that make these hand made products absolutely unique.
